In the Customizer, you’ll find a new section called Header Settings. This is what we’ll be customizing now.
Customizing the Site Header AREA
In the first section, you will find a few options. You can:
- Display the site description if you want to.
- Change the width of the site title logo. (Works well if using a left or right menu.)
- Change the vertical spacing of the header area. (You’re in control of how much space your menu takes!)
Adding a sticky navigation
In the second section, you can decide if you want to have a sticky navigation. That means that the menu you select will stay on the page, even as you scroll down. The two options are the Top menu (the one with the colored background above the site title/logo) and the Main menu (the one below the site title). Read more on how to set up your menus.
Selecting the menu for the social media icons + search
For the last section, you can decide where you want to display the search + social media icons. You can display them in either of the four menu locations. In the demo, this is set to Right menu. Read more on how to set up the social media icons widget.
