WP Recipe Maker is the recipe plugin we have integrated with. You’re welcome to use a different plugin and customize the recipe template as you want! This is just the plugin we have customized a template for.
Setting up the Recipe Plugin
- Make sure you have the WP Recipe Maker installed and activated.
- In the Admin Dashboard, go to WP Recipe Maker > Settings.
- Under Food Recipe Template, select the Lexi template.
- Under Food Recipe Snippet Template, select the Snippet Lexi Buttons template.
The rest of the settings are up to you! You can also read the documentation from WP Recipe Maker on how to create your first recipe.
Customize the Recipe Template
If the colors of the Lexi template don’t fit with your theme, you can copy and edit the template so that it matches.
- In the Admin Dashboard, go to WP Recipe Maker > Settings.
- At the top of the page, click on the Open the Template Editor button.
- Select Recipe Templates.
- Click on the Lexi or Snippet Lexi Buttons template (whichever one you want to edit).
- Click the Clone & Edit Template button.
Once you are in the template editor, I recommend referring to the tutorials from WP Recipe Maker on how to edit templates.
